Series follows Catherine, a royal woman living in rural Austria during the seventeenth century that is forced to choose between her happiness and the future of Russia when she marries an Emperor Peter III of Russia.
In lead roles, we'll see Elle Fanning and Nicholas Hoult and series is created, written, and executive produced by Tony McNamara, the Oscar-nominated writer behind the screenplay for The Favourite. The series also features a star-studded cast including Phoebe Fox, Adam Godley, Gwilym Lee, Charity Wakefield, Douglas Hodge, Sacha Dhawan, Sebastian de Souza, and Bayo Gbadamosi.
The Great will premiere on Hulu May 15.
